Your first Lyter post, step by step! ⏩

We'll help you get started with Lyter for the first time! Publishing on LinkedIn has never been easier. 😍

1. Create and configure your account. 🔩

Like any application that should be, the first step, and not the least, is to start by creating an account (luckily, you only have to do it once)!

To do this, go to the application: https://app.lyter.ai/ and create your account using an email address and a password! 👀

Connect with LinkedIn to facilitate the understanding of your professional information and your communications to date. This will save you time and ensure that your profile is complete and up to date. 💙

You also have the choice not to connect to LinkedIn but be aware that this will limit your experience with Lyter: 👇

❌ No possibility to schedule posts (you will have to copy and paste them to publish them on LinkedIn live).

❌ No auto configuration. You will therefore have to configure your account manually by being as precise as possible.

❌ No consideration for your writing style. You will then need to explain your writing style to the tool in detail.

On this next page, indicate your name, that of your company or activity as well as the url of your site. This step allows Lyter to understand who you are and how your business works by going directly to scan your site. 🔍

❌ If you don't have a site, you need to accurately describe your activity in the box that is displayed once the “I don't have a website yet” box is checked. To do this, copy and paste a text already written about your business. The information on which Lyter is going to rely must be of good quality.

Then take a few moments to think about your communication goals. The topics of the posts will be different if you want to “establish your expert position” than if you prefer to “attract talent”!

You can choose as many goals as you want from the 6 offered by Lyter! However, we advise you to choose only 3 in order to have a clear and simple positioning.

And that's it, you've given Lyter as much information as possible to get to know you better. With all this information, Lyter establishes a profile type and generates for you recommendations emojis and hashtags.

✅ The fields are pre-filled, but feel free to add content and come and modify the elements so that they correspond to you as best as possible!

It is also at this stage that you will define your editorial line by choosing your tone and pace of publication!

The icing on the cake: you only have to do this process once when you first connect! Of course, you can change this information and provide new details at any time: just go to the “Company Info” tab

2. Choose your post topics for the coming month 🧐

Once the “configuration” part is over, it's time for the writing part, it's time to start your first post by clicking on the “Create my publications for the coming month” button! 👇

Lyter offers you ideas for publications for the coming month. Concretely, he looks at the posts on LinkedIn that have the best results in your sector of activity. Depending on this and your communication goals, it offers 8 ideas for publications.

From the proposals, you must choose as many ideas as you want to write a post.

If you want to write 3 posts in a month, choose 3 ideas.

But, you can also start with a single post and come back later to write the others (each has its own organization)! 😉

💡 If you have a personal idea that is not offered by Lyter, simply incorporate it into the “your idea” label.

For each of your posts, Lyter asks you to provide him with some details so that he has material to write. Dates, figures, personal stories... the more specific and talkative you are, the better!

It is also at this stage that you will define whether you want to publish your post on your personal page or on your company page.

3. Modify the posts and validate the programming 📆

Once the post is written, it is displayed on the right side of your screen. It is automatically scheduled at a strategic time and date according to your audience. Lyter analyzes your network to determine the best time to publish the post.

Once the post is written you can:

  • Modify it freely by adjusting the passages you want
  • Ask Lyter to write a new version
  • Change the time and date of publication if necessary

And finally, the final touch, Lyter allows you to add an illustration to your post! Carousel, photo, GIF or even video, remember to vary the formats to vary your speaking on LinkedIn! 😉

And that's it! Your first post is ready and it's now showing up in your editorial calendar. You can come and modify it at any time so that it can be published! 😊

On the main page, your editorial calendar is displayed with a visualization of all your posts (draft, scheduled, and published), giving you an overview of the coming month.

What if I'm not happy with Lyter's post?

The first thing you need to do is try to understand what you don't like about the post. If this is the information it contains (missing or irrelevant information) simply make new changes to the information given for this post and then ask Lyter to write a new version.

If it's the tone of the post, you can directly change the tone you want to adopt in your business information. If it's just a few turns of phrase, you can change them manually or ask Lyter to rewrite the post based on the same information.
